All eye patches are made by me in the USA. I inspect all patches before shipping and will send out a replacement if there is ever a defect. I use the best felt available for the front panel. For the back panel, I use a thin, black, NON-FELT material that will never fray, pill or irritate your skin. I use a double layer to ensure no light will ever seep through and also to add durability and long life to your eye patch.
You will receive a resealable plastic bag to store your eye patch in when not in use. Storing your eye patch will help prolong the life of your patch.
My daughter was four years old when she went to see our ophthalmologist for the first time. He began to treat her lazy eye by having her wear an eye patch for 2 hours a day. For one year we battled with the sticker patches. Tears and trauma every day! It was one of the hardest things she had to do. When the doctor told us she needed to continue patching for another year, I set out to find a 'happier' solution. That is when the Patch Me patch, by Happy Patch Kids, was born. I designed a reusable patch made of durable felt that would slip over her eyeglasses, offering peripheral occlusion and most of all-comfort, as it didn't adhere to her skin. She happily patched for another year, completely tear-free, and successfully regained sight in her lazy eye! Her ophthalmologist loved the patches so much, he began selling them in his optical shop!
Due to the nature of hand-made items, actual patch may differ slightly from the pictures displayed on this site.
